Late 19th Century Caucasian runner.
A Russian antique Kuba, also known and Quba from the Caucasus mountains. This is a hand knotted, vegetable dyed wool runner with abrash, which are different shades and hues of color within the rugäó»s woven wool, true characteristics of an antique rug. It is different batches of dye that the men of the tribe cooked for the wool to be woven and thus, different shades of color resulted in the art we now cherish and have on our floors and walls.
This runner is perfectly worn.
