7x10 Heriz Rug / Large Antique Persian Rug #3697

Regular price $4,700.00

Rugged and powerful, this antique Persian Heriz rug from the 1920s is a true testament to the great art produced by NW Persian weavers. Its powerful central field has great presence and this piece is rich with bold tribal motifs, radiating a sense of strength and history.

The corner spandrels are a definite highlight, shifting through a breathtaking spectrum of blues—from sophisticated French blue to aqua. This beautiful color variation, known as abrash, showcases the skill of the weaver, who used hand-dyed wool that naturally varies in tone, creating a subtle gradient that adds depth and character to the rug. You'll see it in other parts of this wonderful Persian as well, demonstrating the different batches of wool used to weave this room size rug.

This low pile Heriz is in good condition with typical, scattered wear, telling a story of century of use, while still retaining its robust construction. This rug was crafted from durable, high-quality wool, a hallmark of Heriz rugs, known for their ability to withstand the test of time while only growing more beautiful with age.

This Heriz has a vibrant presence with visual impact that will draw the eye, making this rug the perfect foundation for a space that wants to incorporate a touch of history with a hint of tribal art. Despite its bold design, the colors remain inviting and versatile, capable of harmonizing with a variety of interiors.

All sides are fully intact and secure.
