Traveling to us from circa 1920, this antique hand knotted piece owns immense style and color ways we desire. It is one of our elite rugs in shop.
The value is all here, in all its glory on this hand knotted rug that is made from old world wool and history is locked within every knot. The rug comes from the Hamadan region in Persia, the village of BIbikabad. It has a beautiful color ways, with amazing intricate floral-geometric design. The field of the rug comes from indigo blue and the rust borders from madder root. The field is a midnight blue and has abrash (various shades of natural dyes throughout), speaking its age and character with great magnitude.
Of course, this is an extremely durable Persian with organic wool that was dyed naturally with vegetables, plants and flowers (vegetal dyes). This would be considered a stunning addition of floor art to be styled. This rug is in amazing condition, low pile and super clean.
