An antique Tabriz from the 1920s, this low pile Persian is quite a fancy rug. This tightly hand woven rug is celebrated world wide, coming from one of the most respected weaving regions of Persia
It has intricate details we can really see and in the floral design, weavers also displayed snake elements in the field, near the center medallion and also scattered throughout. The border dyes come from indigo and resulted in the navy blue we see before us. The field has floral work with large motifs and vines that interconnect.
The rug is in amazing condition, with natural timeworn character.
