This beautifully aged 1910 Persian Heriz rug, boasts a design not usually seen in a Heriz rug, featuring a central medallion surrounded by a small scale lattice pattern interlaced with floral-inspired motifs.
The navy blue ground is highlighted by a stunning abrash effect that gracefully shifts into a beautiful aqua blue. The decorative border bands have a burnt red ground that leans into rust vibes giving it an earthy feel.
Handwoven with wool dyed using natural resources, such as flowers, plants, and vegetables, this amazing rug is evidence of the quality natural dyes bring to the table, producing a gorgeous color story. Although it has an aged appearance and shows signs of wear, the low pile and durable wool ensure that this rug will remain a cherished heirloom for years to come. Also, there is one carefully repaired small area near the medallion to ensure its longevity (See pic for more details).
Whether as a centerpiece in a living room or as an accent in a bedroom, this antique Persian Heriz rug will absolutely work its charm, grounding the space with depth and history.
