Large Antique Persian Heriz Rug on Wild Salmon Ground / 9'4 x 12'4 Heriz Rug #3886

Regular price $10,800.00

Here’s a bold and beautiful antique Persian Heriz from the 1920s—handwoven in Northwest Persia with durable, vegetable-dyed wool and set on a wildly rich salmon ground that immediately sets it apart.

This rug packs a punch with its classic rectilinear design and powerful tribal motifs dancing across the field. The border? A knockout. Deep space blue with those iconic turtle palmettes marching along, adding both rhythm and refinement to the whole composition.

The wool used in these Heriz rugs—especially those woven near Mt. Sabalan—is known for its strength and resilience, thanks to the copper-rich water in the region. This one’s no exception. It’s got that sturdy, hearty construction Heriz lovers seek out, and it’s aged like a champ, with scattered wear that tells its story, not detracts from it.

The unusual ground color—a striking, saturated salmon—gives this piece a ton of presence and makes it a real standout among Heriz rugs.

Low pile. Scattered wear. All wool. Handwoven with heart and heritage.
