Antique Navy Blue Runner / 3'6 x 9'11 Caucasian Runner #3865

Regular price $1,750.00

Woven over a century ago by skilled tribal weavers in the Caucasus, this antique runner carries the bold spirit of its mountainous homeland just north of Persia. Its deep navy blue field is alive with egg-shaped botanical shrub motifs, each bursting with colors of rust red, bone ivory, ice blue, walnut brown, and dusty yellow mingling in perfect harmony, their hues softened by time yet rich with character.

The ivory border bands frame the design with a graceful botanical dance, while the main border stands proudly with eight-pointed stars, symbols of happiness and fertility, glowing against a deep rust red ground. The wool, soft and floppy, still holds the warmth of the hands that once tied each knot. With a low pile and well-preserved condition, this runner is a piece of history meant to be admired and enjoyed.

Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
