This amazing Kurdistan tribal runner was hand knotted by Kurdish weavers, a very small minority in areas that are north of Persia. It travels to us from circa 1920 and locks in the amazing and rich history lost treasures.
The wool on wool foundation runner displays beautiful and intricate floral motifs throughout. You will feel the luxury of the wool and the vegetable dyes in this piece and the color ways are warm and complementary. It has a chocolate brown ground and rich, saffron yellow borders. In great shape for its age, this will definitely add charm and history to any space it settles in. Please note, this is an ancient handwoven runner, so there is slight variation in width. Please see pics for full character.
