Here's a highly vibrant and rich antique, nomadic Baluch rug. It has motifs throughout and is a heavy rug with a hefty handle of wool. It sits on a wool foundation and folds up easy as the wool is not in anyway stiff.
This Persian tribal Baluchi rug features kilim ends, which shows off a flat weave technique vs the the hand knotted pile field. From circa 1930 with a lot of scattered wear. The scatter rug shows off variation of its dyes, known as abrash, so you'll notice different shades of its tangerine ground in the field. Please see pics up close for details, character and condition. A great value buy!
