Woven in the Caucasus mountains, the artisans featured what collectors identify as eagles in the field. Most of the cultural symbols have their origins wrapping around folk mythology, folklore, religion, art and history. The eagle is a symbol of courage, wisdom and freedom to these mountain nomads. This old rug has a beautiful color palette with a dusty blush ground. This nomadic rug is weighted and has a powerful presence with tribal art.
