Almost all Persian Heriz rugs we seem to catch are 8x10 or larger. This is a great find and a sweet little treasure, so for those of you who love Heriz Persians and some awesome navy blue with irresistible rust vibes, this old baby is here and ready to make home a little happier with its great soul and art.
This rug was hand knotted in Northwest Persia, and is nicely aged with scattered wear. A durable piece at a wonderful size of 5x6, woven in the rugged NW mountains of Persia by tribal weavers circa 1920. It has timeless value and generations to go. This rug has coarse knotting and a low wool pile with a sophisticated geometric design and medallions in it's field.
It's an all natural, vegetable dyed wool rug, fully secured on all ends and one of the most in demand Persians for decades on end. Durable and ready to serve in high traffic areas.
