This 1920s Persian Mazlaghan scatter rug is small but mighty. Woven with vegetable-dyed wool, it features a powerful lightning-bolt medallion—a signature of Mazlaghan village weaving. The brick ground anchors a central stepped diamond flanked by dynamic zig-zag forms, often interpreted as stylized protection symbols or amulets. Scattered wear throughout adds softness and charm, without compromising structure. This little Persian is stout and solid and totally fine for high traffic areas.
A beautiful heirloom piece. A custom cut rug pad will come along, on the house.
Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
