A sensational Persian Kerman from the 1920s with floral sprays throughout. This beauty is abundant in color, style and wool. The intricate details are amazing to see from close and afar on this ivory background palatial rug. In the center of the field, you'll find an exquisite central medallion derived from highly skilled hands and its bountiful in color...almost looks like what your eyes would see looking into a kaleidoscope. The rugs weave is packed tight , look at the fine knotting from the underside of the rug in picture.
You'll also notice lovely and long branches stemming throughout the field that starts from the top and bottom of the rug and then a floral chandelier. The borders have floral bouquets on a deep indigo blue ground. There are natural dyes with abrash (organic variation in dyes from different batches of wool used to weave) that you can see in the pics as well, illustrating its character and age even more so. Rugs woven with this traditional culture and process is so special.
This Persian is full pile (loads of soft wool) and is in really great shape for its age with a few small and minor areas of wool loss/wear (see pics). We are proud to offer this piece of history at an unbelievable value buy for the size and age and quality of this hand knotted, old world rug. In super clean condition.
