The little rug that could! This 1940s Gharajeh / Karaja handwoven rug has coarse knotting and a low wool pile with a sophisticated geometric design and medallions in it's field. It comes from a village in Northwest Persia, a small and isolated place that had unpaved roads and tribal people sitting and weaving.
Like so many other P E R S I A N S, it has durable and vegetable dyed wool and is in decent condition, especially considering its age. The color ground is ivory. This baby will ship with a rug pad on the house.
