Handwoven in Hamadan, Persia, this antique 1930’s Persian scatter rug is dazzling to the eyes. The central medallion has a geometric shape in rich colors like espresso, dark brown, steel gray blue, wheat beige and berry red against a berry red ground with an interesting botanical pattern in brick red, steel gray blue, sky blue, wheat beige, and dark brown. The main floral border with a sky blue ground is a nice contrast to the energy of the berry red in the central field, which adds a lot of charm.
This fantastic rug is packed with a punch of saturated, natural dyes. It is low pile, but you'll certainly feel the wool. It would be perfect in any space requiring a bit of a vibrant spirit. It is a very sturdy rug that will live on for generations to come and it'll ship with a custom cut rug pad on the house.
Handwoven with vegetable dyed wool.
