Late 19th Century Caucasian runner

This old Russian woven by women in the Caucasus mountains is love worn and has a ton of character. It is on the skinny, which is hard to find in width, especially when seeking old rugs. 

This runner was woven circa 1880 with vegetable dyed wool and it sits on a wool foundation. The color story here is warm and earthy. Please note that this rug has some wear and tear and the small areas with wool loss will come patched/secured from the underside.

We do recommend a rug pad as it is a softer/floppier rug by nature. We have them in shop. Here is the link if you'd like to add it to purchase:
