3’2 x 11’1 Antique Persian Camel Hair runner (#1366) / vintage rug runner

Made of vegetable dyed wool and natural, non-dyed camel hair, this ornate rug is quite rare. This Persian is something to be celebrated gorgeous diamond medallions and paisleys (represents life and fertility) running down its field.  

It was woven in the 1920s in the village of Serab and undoubtedly from the weaver’s own camel and sheep. It is a total show of with off the vibrant and fun color ways. 

Low pile, durable, light, scattered wear and has at least another century of time for enjoyment.
