This rug has a lovely such spirit, doesn't it? It's a tribal rug and features paisleys all over the field. From the Kurds, this is simply folk art from the Orient!

For those of us who like wear and character, this rug definitely speaks it! With looks and beauty earned through time, this rug comes from Kurdistan, hand woven circa 1880. This ever durable Kurdish wool rug is a tribal rug that was hand knotted by a very small minority of weaver in areas that are along Persia's Western border.

Kurdish rugs are also known to be stout and solid! You can definitely feel the lamb's wool on this rug. If you look within the field, you cannot miss the amazing and large paisleys. Formally known as "Boteh", these paisleys mean "the seed of life" and symbolizes fertility to the tribe.

This Kurdish rug was hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool. It's ready for a home with tons of life left in it to go!
