This is an antique Persian village rug, hand knotted by the weavers of Shiraz, which happens to be home to the famous Qashqai tribe. It is from the early 1900s and has a geometric design with pole diamond shaped medallions in its field. The color ways here have immense charm, especially those pops of blue! It has some great elements such as birds all throughout, "pinwheels of life" and those raw fringes which are just so fab!
This is a wool on wool foundation rug, naturally dyed with vegetables, roots and plants sources. It is showing off its beautiful age of 100 years. It would look great on a hard wood floor as well as on stone.
