This late 19th Century worn Beshir are so heavily sought after because of their distinct style. They come from the Beshir tribe, who were in parts of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. These rugs are known to have spectacular all over patterns and their art work woven is inspired by nature such as leaves and vines.
This rug has seen a lot, but it is still all there! It is old and love worn. Please see pics for more details on condition. Pics taken in two different outdoor settings so you can see the colors.
It is hand woven with wool and sits on a wool foundation.
Hand knotted with all natural, vegetable dyed wool circa 1870-1880.
