This is a stunning, low pile, Persian neutral antique Tabriz rug from early 20th Century. It has an all over pattern of muted olive paisleys.
The rug is made from one of the epicenters of rug weaving, which is Tabriz. The area to which this rug was woven is known for a really tight weave and these Persian rugs are collected for this very reason as it is a fine Oriental Rug which has prestige. If you look closely, you can see small scale boteh (paisley) pattern in very muted green all over the field.
This rug is in excellent condition and had some old small areas of stains that have been cleaned. We can show off this rug to you with a live video call if you'd like to see more detail as it is hard to capture its essence with pictures.
We are happy to have this antique hand knotted beauty and to extend it at a great deal for this work of art.
