One of the heaviest rugs in shop, this is a Bidjar, from Persia, also known as the iron rug of the country. This rug is extremely durable with higher piled wool which was also that pounded down by the knot on the loom. It is hefty with a stiff and sturdy wool foundation.
Set on a brick red to Wimbledon clay color ground, this large beauty has amazing waves of abrash throughout with gorgeous motifs on the field.
This rug has borders have alternating colors that contrast with the main border in a navy blue and edge guards in an ivory.
Please note, one border was professionally reduced (shortened) and so one of the borders is not as wide or complete. It has been professionally cleaned and the side edge was hand re-bound.
