This is an old and worn village rug, hand knotted by tribal weavers of Shiraz, which happens to be home to the famous Qashqai tribe. It travels to us from the turn of the 20th Century and was hand knotted with old world wool and on a wool foundation.
This Persian is all organic; its wool was naturally dyed with vegetables, roots and plant sources. It features 3 diamond medallions with tribal motifs throughout, packed with immense character, animal and symbolic elements. It shows off its beautiful age of over 100 years. It will bring immediate, old world charm to any space it lives in.
