This is a stunning, low pile, antique Tabriz rug from early 20th Century. It has an all over pattern of large floral motifs and medallions and this baby is bountiful in style and color ways. This rug has earned this amazing color, scattered wear and tone through time, and only through time.
The rug is made from one of the epicenters of rug weaving, which is Tabriz. The area to which this rug was woven is known for a really tight weave and Tabriz rugs are collected for this very reason as it is a fine Oriental Rug which has prestige.
This Tabriz is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. We are happy to have this antique hand knotted Tabriz and to extend it at a great deal for this work of art.
