This is a 1920s Turkmen rug in square shape that showcases classic style and art. Its an old rug woven with wool, on a wool foundation and has a floppy handle.
The pattern you see are very common amongst these woven rugs. The octagonal elements you see throughout are actually elephant footprints. It was hand knotted by the nomadic tribe with natural resources used to dye the wool (veggies, fruits, plants, flowers).
Please see pics for full character and condition as this has some tiny, old repairs and has been given love through time to keep its integrity.
This'll ship with a custom cut rug pad on the house.
