This Persian is a phenomenal Senneh, hand knotted with a super tight weave and is highly esteemed by collectors. Woven circa 1900, it features a medallion within design in the field on a brick-red color ground that graduates to rust with abrash and features ultra marine blue in the corner spandrels. The all over field design is Mahi (fish art).
All natural dyes. Low pile, and has some wear. Please see pics for full condition and character of this antique rug. This Persian has a beautiful floppy handle and was woven with all natural, vegetable dyed wool.
