This antique scatter rug is from the Caucasus mountain weavers, north of Persia, woven by the tribe members of Kuba. From circa 1890, this small gem is bursting with tribal motifs and vibrant natural dyes. While it is low pile and worn, this old treasure still has a lot of life and love to give. It's design is a powerful depiction of folk art with great symbolism throughout the piece. This piece has been worn in from age related wear on one end, so you can see that one ivory border is missing, but the rug is fully secured at both ends and sides, for it to have longevity.
Handwoven with wool dyed using organic vegetables, plants, and flowers.
Exact size: 3' x 4'6
