This floral beauty comes to us from Kerman, in South Central Persia—an area known for weaving some of the most recognizable and romantic rugs in the antique Persian world. These rugs were so beloved that even Marco Polo reportedly counted them among his favorites. And by the 1970s, demand had skyrocketed to the point that they became hard to find and quite spendy!
Woven circa 1930, this piece is made of vegetable-dyed wool and is full of plush softness and weight. The wool is luxuriously thick, with a velvety feel underfoot that’s just… chef’s kiss.
The palette? Dreamy. French blue, rose pink, mauve, pistachio green, walnut brown, baby blue, ocean blue, and turquoise—all dancing across a warm ivory ground in classic Persian floral form.
Exact size is 4' x 7'2
This Persian is full pile, clean, and oh-so-pretty. A joy to look at, and even better to live with.
